Nugent has been diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which is incurable. Nugent was like any other outdoor cat that got into a few too many scraps and lost. Nugent also had Valley Fever when he arrived at the shelter, and has since recovered. Nugent brings a smile to all our faces with his fun cattitude and strikingly odd noises. He spends his days waiting at the door for love, and lounging in his enclosed patio on his back. Nugent is a great cat looking for sponsors to help support his medical bills.

Alpha is as stealth as a cat can be, long and lean, he is often found spread superman style on  a higher shelf casually observing the other resident cats and staff. Alpha has a very social group that is often seen cavorting together in the village porch. Alpha ’s name is not actually very suiting. He is one of the more passive gentle cats at the shelter, if faced with a threat of cat treats or a friendly pet, he darts through the shelter leaving a wave of confused felines behind. He is becoming friendlier with staff and often we can get a few pets in here and there, but Alpha is very particular about his entourage.

EVA

Living Strong

Eva was rescued by the shelter when her former owner passed away in 2008. She was about 11 years old at the time of the rescue; upon her wellness check it was discovered that Eva had type II diabetes. She was placed into a special room with monitored feedings and insulin injections twice daily. Her blood glucose had to be monitored several times daily. She began to lose weight on her new diet and became healthier overall. Today Eva is no longer diabetic and lives in the main house area where she is continually monitored to check her weight and progress. She is a fluffy and lovable gal that would love for you to come visit her and maybe… find a home of her own.
