Volunteers Wanted
Top 5 Reasons to Volunteer at the Hermitage Cat Shelter
~as told by Rusty Brown
5. Meet new friends; not just us fuzzy type. We cats welcome all volunteers to socialize and help with our cause. Volunteering is a great way to meet people with the same interests of all ages. Bring a friend. The more the merrier.
4. Can’t have pets? Come get your kitty fix. There are 200 cats looking for love and attention. There are so many cats waiting for a warm lap to curl up in for the afternoon. Of course, 200 cats know how to party, and there is always a need for room service.
3. Looking for a new career? My friends and I can teach you a few things and give you on the job training within the animal welfare community. There are different levels of duties ranging from general cleaning to cat care as well as administration and animal grooming.
2. Be part of the solution. Every volunteer at the Hermitage is important and valued for their contribution. As a team, the shelter rescued and adopts over 400 cats annually. Become a part of something greater, volunteer no-kill.
1. The best things in life are free…. The cats here at the Hermitage all have different stories and backgrounds, but we all need love. Come show us that people can make a difference with those who cannot speak. Be our voice, and we will reward you with plenty of purrs.
